After another year of successful fundraising, we are delighted to announce the total raised for 2018 was £8,109.60.
A raft of fundraising efforts throughout 2018 was particularly highlighted by our shoe box appeal in aid of Society of St James – a homeless charity for the Southampton & Portsmouth areas, helping vulnerable people experiencing homelessness, problem with alcohol and substance use and other complex needs to change their lives.
On the 21st December we delivered 49 shoe boxes in total, 47 made up for the homeless & 2 full of dog treats.
For the second year running we have also sponsored a new puppy, Meadow, which is our 2nd Canine Partners puppy.
A £1,000.00 donation was provided to sponsor her, once Meadow is fully trained, she will be an assistance dog for a disabled person.
Other activities included the Toy Sale, Halloween dress up, Small Change for Big Smiles, which saw each Import Services location compete with each other to raise the most.
The total amount was shared around our nominated charities:
NSPCC
MacMillan Cancer Support
Naomi House & Jacksplace
Children’s Liver Disease Foundation
The Rainbow Centre
Seahawks Family Support Group
Thank you to everyone who took part of donated, we look forward to what 2019 will bring!
