Swiss toy maker Geomagworld has appointed Import Services to provide a comprehensive logistics service for expansion plans in the UK and Ireland.
The company is well known for its construction toys which use magnetic rods and non-magnetic spheres to help children to develop their minds, imagination and curiosity.
Geomag’s award-winning products are sold around the world with all ranges manufactured at its Swiss base in Novazzano.
Import Services has been brought on board as the company switches from a UK distributor to selling direct to trade and the logistics company will provide Geomag with a complete port-centric service.
This service includes UK customs clearance through to bonded warehousing, high volume order processing and distribution throughout the UK and Ireland.

Nolene Brunelli, sales manager at Geomag said the partnership with Import Services will enable the toy company to accommodate changes in both distribution and customer purchasing patterns. “Import Services has a great understanding of the UK toy market, a close relationship with retailers and offers professional accreditations, management systems and information flow,’’ she said. “Working with the team at Import Services we will be able to manage our inventory effectively, personalise our promotions and customer logistics to specific customer needs.’’
She said that 2015 is set to be a busy year for Geomag as it launches a brand building programme with in-store activities, social media and a TV advertising campaign. “We have enjoyed significant growth in the US and Europe and with investment in marketing and product development, we are anticipating increased customer demand in the UK.’’
