Non-Bonded and Bonded 3PL Warehousing Services - Which Do You Need?
Non-Bonded Warehousing
Our non-bonded 3PL warehousing services are a great choice for organisations selling products that will be sold in the same country they are stored in. At Delamode, this would be either the UK or Netherlands.
Non-bonded warehousing simplifies the tax and duties process, as you pay these when your stock enters the country it will be stored in, and offers fast speed to market, enabling you to quickly start shipping your products to retailers and end customers with no additional clearances to pay for.
Bonded Warehousing
Our two, fully AEO-authorised, bonded facilities, In Southampton UK and Roosendaal Netherlands, enable you to store your imported products under bond for extended periods of time, without having to pay duties or taxes until your goods are sold within the country they are stored in.
This helps to free up cash flow, ease financial strain, balance the financial burden of storing large stock holdings, and enables you to bring stock into one of our facilities under bond (paying for only a single container shipment), and ship stock to our second facility as demand requires, under bond, via our daily shuttle.
If your goods are going to be exported, storing them under bond enables you to avoid paying taxes and duties until they are cleared into their destination country, offering significant cost saving benefits.

Order Picking
- We invest in equipment to support the evolving needs of our clients, and to enable us to implement bespoke methodology that maximises picking efficiency and operational effectiveness. With an array of MHE, NVA trucks, Flexi trucks, and manual picking trolleys, we’re fully equipped.
- Our system gives you full control of your orders, full visibility of delivery and collection dates, and is able to assign the picking of an order in the most efficient way, helping to streamline our working processes and optimise your storage space.
- We adapt our picking method based on your FIFO preferences, and product factors such as batch control and best before dates, to ensure each of your retailers receive goods that meet their requirements.
Ship to Store
- Outside of our ecommerce 3PL warehousing service (including reverse logistics), ship to store is the fastest route to market. We deliver goods directly into high street stores across the globe be that your own, or those of your retailers. We can also take away the shipping materials. You can book your STS service via our WMS.

- We can prepare STS shipments in either our UK or EU facility, ship them under bond to our second site, and cross dock your goods to stores in countries more accessible from that territory, in the most effective way.
Container Devanning
- From organising the freight of your goods from their manufacturer to our sites in the UK and EU, to liaising with the port or haulier to arrange the devanning of your products (whether that’s a few pallets, or a container featuring thousands of boxes and hundreds of SKUs), we manage the entire process of inbounding your products into our facilities.
- For customers of our 3PL warehousing services inbounding products into our Southampton facility, our portside facility helps you to avoid potentially costly container unloading deadlines, enables us to offer rapid devanning times of a matter of hours, and complete product inbounding 0.7-1.2 days faster than our competitors.
Cross Docking
- If you’re looking for a quick route the market, we deliver a cross docking service to quickly inbound products and ship them to retailers in the shortest possible time frame, without the goods spending much (or any) time in storage.
- The process looks much like our container devanning service above, only items enter our warehouse ready to be shipped, where they are split by carrier and destination, and shipped to your retailers, rather than stored.
- It’s not only our port-centric model that helps speed up the inbound and outbound process. Our system, used across both facilities, enables our team to begin planning delivery routing as soon as we have visibility of the order, long before the product reaches our warehouse.
